As we head into our fifth festival season as a coffee trader, we thought that there would be no better time to take a look back at our Top 5 UK Festivals to date. From banging Boomtown to Zen Yoga Connects, here is our pick of the best from the journey so far…
5. Isle Of Wight
One of the first Top 5 UK Festivals of the season, the Isle Of Wight Festival is always one to remember. Driving the little Bedford Rascal onto the ferry in the early summer sun makes us feel like we are setting off on a weeks holiday, rather than setting off to work. There is no better feeling in the world than wrapping up a long shift and heading to the main stage with a can of Fosters. Listening to some of the most iconic bands of all time belt out their hits on this tiny little island will never get old!
4. Yoga Connects
We had the pleasure of trading at Yoga Connects in 2016 & 2017 where Sally and Jan did a great job of bringing together a growing network of yogis. From the emphasis on sustainability to the overwhelming sense of friendship and kindness, this festival was a real winner. The moment you arrive it feels like a big family gathering and the relaxed atmosphere makes you want to stay for the entire summer.
Sadly 2017 was the last instalment of Yoga Connects festival, but if it’s the vibe you’re looking for then check out Om & Bass yoga or Exhale Festival – we can highly recommend both!
3. Wilderness
Wilderness has a lake is another one of our Top 5 UK Festivals… what more needs to be said?
2. Boomtown
There are no words which we can write about Boomtown that would accurately describe just how incredible this festival is. It’s a spectacle that you really need to see to believe! The time and effort that goes into designing the place is unrivalled, from the insanely intricate set designs to the actors parading around 24 hours a day. You are fully immersed in this fictional world from the moment you step through the gates – it’s a place that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime!
1. End Of The Road
As lovers of music, this festival has to take the top spot of our Top 5 UK Festivals. Every single stage plays host to some of the worlds best and sometimes undiscovered musical heroes. Although it is considered a medium-sized festival, it still feels incredibly intimate as you can catch your favourite main stage artists playing daytime sets on a piano to 50 people. There is a great, communal vibe at this festival that everyone is there for the same reason – the astounding music. It’s definitely not one to be missed and will always be our favourite way to close out the festival season.
