Ethiopia: Yirgacheffe Aricha – Natural
Sourced from the Aricha Washing Station in Ethiopia’s famed Yirgacheffe region, this natural lot showcases the best of heirloom varietals grown at 1,900–2,100 MASL. Over 650 smallholder farmers from nearby villages, including Aricha, Reko, and Idido, deliver ripe cherries to the station, where they are carefully sorted and sun-dried on raised beds. The combination of high elevation, fertile red clay soil, and Yirgacheffe’s “land of many springs” climate gives this coffee its vibrant character. Expect a lively cup with notes of cranberry brightness, soft brown sugar sweetness, and a juicy orange finish — a clean yet fruit-forward expression of one of Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffee origins.
